DESCRIPTION:The City of London Corporation is proposing two new conser
 vation areas, Barbican Conservation Area and Golden Lane Conservation 
 Area. These areas have been assessed according to National Guidance an
 d have satisfied the criteria for designation.\r\nThe consultation clo
 ses on 12 February 2018.\r\nAt the end of the consultation period, co
 mments will be reported to Planning and Transportation Committee with 
 a recommendation.If they are approved for designation, Conservation Ar
 ea Character Summaries and Management Strategies would be prepared and
  adopted as Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs).\r\nThe Committee 
 Report and the assessment of the proposed areas are below.\r\nPlanning

 for inspection at the Barbican and Shoe Lane Libraries during their no
 rmal opening hours, at the Planning Information Desk in the North Wing
  Guildhall, the Barbican Estate Office and Golden Lane Estate Office.\
