Whilst out and about on the estate this afternoon I saw a Palestinian flag being flown in the window of the community centre. Inside, was a young man giving a speech to people, wearing a 'peace' sign on his top. Now, we all want peace but to put up this flag could be seen as being intimidating to any Jewish residents. Especially those whose relatives are being held by the terrorist group Hamas, who have to see it every day. True peace should be between both sides, but there was no Israeli flag up to balance it. .They could easily have had a talk without displaying a flag used by terrorists, or any flag at all. I thought the Community Centre was meant to be there to bring the community together, and not for political purposes, There would be opposition I am sure to the centre being used to promote any other political cause. I don't know who allowed this, but I don't think it appropriate.
