Dress Code: Ten Iconic Dresses in Art (Talk at Barbican Library)

Thursday June 26th, 6-7pm at Barbican Library

Ten iconic dresses within ten famous portraits from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Portraits that have shocked and delighted audiences in equal measure. From the scandal of Sargent's little black dress to Whistler's ghostly women in white, Klimt's golden visions fit for a queen to the swirling dreamlike drapery of Leighton's Flaming June.
