Event Description

The City of London Corporation is proposing two new conservation areas, Barbican Conservation Area and Golden Lane Conservation Area. These areas have been assessed according to National Guidance and have satisfied the criteria for designation.

The consultation closes on 12 February 2018.

At the end of the consultation period, comments will be reported to Planning and Transportation Committee with a recommendation.If they are approved for designation, Conservation Area Character Summaries and Management Strategies would be prepared and adopted as Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs).

Printed copies are available for inspection at the Barbican and Shoe Lane Libraries during their normal opening hours, at the Planning Information Desk in the North Wing Guildhall, the Barbican Estate Office and Golden Lane Estate Office.

There are two drop-in session when officers will be available to discuss the proposals and answer questions.
