2018 is the 35th anniversary of the City of London Guide Lecturers’ Association. Since its inception the Guides have taken thousands upon thousands of visitors around the City sharing its secrets and stories. To mark this landmark year and the unique relationship the City Guides have with the Square Mile we will be doing what we do best – leading walks.  These will be our anniversary gift to the City.

35 for 35 will include three, free, short routes, each one starting and finishing in the heart of the City, Guildhall Yard.

Each walk will

• take no more than 35 minutes
• be led by a professional City Guide 
• be free of charge
• uncover secrets and surprises of the streets immediately surrounding Guildhall
• be on a first come first served basis, no booking required.

Date:  Friday, August 17th

Time:  11.30am – 2.00pm

Frequency:  Walks will set off every half hour with the final walks leaving at 2.00pm.

Meeting Point: Guildhall Yard

A wealth of history, characters, architecture, stories and more - all in 35 minutes. We welcome everyone who has 35 minutes to spare on August 17th.

About us

The CLGLA or “City Guides” are the Official Guides to the City of London. All Guides are fully trained, accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guiding and insured and develop and lead walks in the City and lecture on City related topics. The City Guides offer regular walks and tours which run almost every day of the year from the City Information Centre. There is a separate programme that includes Leadenhall Market, Smithfield Market, Billingsgate Roman Bath House, Women Work and Power, Guildhall Art Gallery and more and if you require a bespoke walk or guest speaker, contact one of our members through our Find a Guide service.
