City of London

Friends of City Gardens are willing to help finance a second Christmas Craft Fair. You may remember we had one the year before last which was very successful.

Funds we raised then were used to buy a Santa Suit, ably worn by David Cox, a Christmas tree, lights and some tree decorations plus small gifts for children.

Before I book a date for use of the hall, I need to know we have a Santa plus others willing to help make this happen.

So does anyone know of a suitable Santa? Tall would be nice as the suit fitted David well. I have asked David and Patsy if they are able to reprise their roles as Mr & Mrs Santa but want to have a sure back up if they cannot do it this time.

So who would be interested in a craft fair again? I led the organisation and am willing to do so again but need a team of people willing to assist.

We will need a poster
Poster distribution
People with good Christmas crafts and goods to sell
People to help decorate the hall, put up the tree
Help select children's gifts
Refreshments - community cafe?
Any other ideas?
A raffle
Children's treasure hunt?
Children's book swap

Let me know if you are interested

Hi Christine,

I'd like to help out on this - I had a stall at the market day and enjoyed it very much. I could do a poster and help with setting up the tree etc. but work 9-6 weekdays so would have to do it outside of that.

I've attached some of my artwork if you need me to do the poster and need examples.

Forgot to say, I'd also try and get some illustrated cards etc. together for a stall but will need to check my diary and see if I've got time to make them!

Thanks

Fiona

Maybe they could have a Bonfire where the christmas tree is, and use the recycling, and some of the OAPs could come out of their flats for a heat, it would be just like the 11th night.

Just to let people know that everyone who requested a table this year has got one and volunteers for the community cafe and set up/clear up have been noted. Everyone will be emailed this week

Thank you
FionaJean, I am so very sorry that I haven't got back to you. Things got carried away with different sources of contact. If you do want a table we can give you one. Re poster two were done by folk who had done them before. So apologies, I had no intention of ignoring your offer. If you have time pop in and see us tomorrow . Kind regards Christine
