Yes I know we have a page for this but I wanted to register my anger at the complete disregard by planning and whoever in the City. What possessed them, other than greed, to allow the thug developers Taylor Wimpey in to the City.
The fortress prison design with parking that the senior planning officer is minded to approve on 2nd May contravenes the City's own planning guidelines and listed building guidelines for Golden Lane Estate. They surely can no longer be worth the paper they are printed on.
As for them considering our request to become a conservation area , how can they when they are allowing Lubyanka to be built here.
Have residents of Bowater been assured of triple glazed windows and secondary glazing prior to the noise and disruption? Of course not. Will we be compensated for no longer being able to grow anything on our balconies? Of course not. Will we be compensated by lack of daylight when we had wonderful light? Of course not. Quality of life walked all over by unelected officers and those who pretend to care but really don't, after all £40 plus million for a 150 year lease is not to be sniffed st.
I trust we will al be informed that we no longer have to jump through planning and listed building forms and approvals for work on our flats whether tenant or lease holder. If the City doesn't follow it's own rules why should we.
