Dear Neighbour

Please find a link to the May COLPAI Project newsletter, which can be downloaded here.

We are writing to update you on the operations and activity on-site for the COLPAI Project.

As you will be aware, ISG is on-site undertaking construction works to deliver 66 new social homes and a new primary school.

As a local authority, we are committed to smart, safe and motivated working. During these difficult times, we must ensure that we operate ‘Business Continuity.’ This means having a robust plan in place in order to keep moving forward, contribute to the economy, keep our workforce mobilised and ensure we are in the best possible position to deliver for the local community.

Our priority is to complete the new primary school, ensuring the City of London Primary Academy Islington children and staff can move out of their temporary accommodation and into new state-of-the-art facilities. We are progressing well on-site, with the reinforced concrete superstructure going up. As advised by the Government, vital housebuilding must also continue. We are committed to providing social homes for local people on Islington Council and City of London Corporation’s waiting lists.

We understand that this is a challenging time for all and appreciate that residents will be at home. We would like to assure you that the team on-site is working tirelessly to ensure the site operations go above and beyond the Government guidelines. All our workers are aware of the standards they must uphold and we revisit these daily at on-site briefings. For more information on the measures in place, please see the FAQ on our project website – www.colpai-project.co.uk.

We are not alone in facing this challenge and we thank everyone in the local community for playing their part, whether you are staying at home or are a keyworker.

We are committed to doing our part to keep the nation and our supply chain going, delivering the necessary infrastructure to allow people to have safe spaces to live, learn and play.

The situation surrounding COVID-19 is ever-changing. Our team is consistently monitoring and following Government guidance and Public Health England advice.

We thank you for your continued cooperation during this time.
