COLPAI Project Weekly Works Update – W/C Monday 27 April 2020

Dear Neighbour

Please see below activities relating to the COLPAI Project, which are due to take place from Monday 27 April 2020.

Monday 27 April – Friday 1 May

ISG works will include:
  • Construction of reinforced concrete superstructure to new school building
  • Construction of slab to the new school hall
  • Excavation to the residential block
  • Continuation of ground works and drainage.
Works are not scheduled to take place on Saturday 2 May and Sunday 3 May.

Deliveries

Important Notice – Out of Hours Delivery – Monday 27 April

An out of hours delivery will be taking place on Monday 27 April. This delivery is to allow for a crawler crane to be brought onto the site and will delivered by a lorry loader, which will arrive on-site at 6am. To minimise the disturbance to our neighbours, works to offload the crane crawler will not begin until 8am.

The works have been permitted by Islington Council and City of London due to travel restrictions in place for delivery of cranes. An ISG Construction Manager and traffic marshals will be overseeing the delivery and will ensure that the impact of these works is kept to a minimum.

Other deliveries taking place throughout the week include:
  • Removal of excavated spoil from the site
  • Concrete to the site
  • 6F2 granular fill to the site, which is a mix of crushed concrete, brick and mortar.
ISG On-Site Security
  • Security guard on-site full time 07:00 – 18:30
  • CCTV security cameras are now monitoring the site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The City of London Corporation (City Corporation) Works - CCTV

The City Corporation will be installing one 24/7 CCTV camera on-site to monitor the works. The system is only active within the site boundaries and cannot be directed beyond the boundary lines. Due to COVID-19, the City Corporation is keen to monitor the site closely and ensure operations are in compliance with social distancing requirements.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 8am to 6pm
Saturday – 9am to 2pm

Consented Reduced Impact Hours

During reduced impact hours, works will still take place on-site. However, works will not involve percussive machinery or other similar construction involving heavy machinery.

Monday to Friday 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm

Noise, dust and vibration monitoring is in place.

For site emergencies, please contact:
