It Transpires that the meeting on 3rd of December is about the YMCA building on Errol Street not Fann St.

As for the Fann Street building:

A low cost youth oriented hotel/hostel owner has put in a bid to take over the building. Their bid would not need change of use and is perceived by the applicant to have a good chance of success.

Without being alarmist. All flats on the south side of the estate could be facing a large amount of people coming and going to this hostel at all time of the day and night. It could mean a boost of customers for the Shakespeare Pub which would increase the noise levels.

We should be asking questions of our local authority regarding the impact on the thousands of flats in very close proximity plus a sheltered housing block for the elderly
