Hi All,

This is self promotion but unashamedly so, since it should be of real interest to anyone on the estate who has unused stuff lying around or wants free stuff!

I've just built and am about to launch a new website, Ditto, which makes it really easy to give away the stuff you're not using and to find unused stuff near you. We're now live at http://www.ditto.do.

At Ditto, we value the use of things, not the ownership of them. We think that real waste is the difference between what we buy and what we use. Everything on Ditto is free - all you have to do is go and pick it up. Because we're brand new, there's not much stuff listed on Ditto yet, but I'd like to encourage Golden Lane Estate residents to lead the way and list something, or take something from the site.

We really value your feedback, too. Could Ditto be easier to use? What would stop you from using it? Get in touch using the Contact Us link on the site, or message me directly here. I'm a Golden Lane Estate resident of course and I'd love for Ditto to start gaining a stronghold close to home first. Obviously you have goldenlaneestate.org as a place to post stuff you only want estate residents to have, but if you want a wider audience, Ditto could be just the ticket.

Cheers,

Eliot Stock
