On Friday 2nd April 2010 The City of London Police will be introducing a new pilot scheme where police and local authority information can be sent by text (SMS) direct to your mobile phone.
It’s FREE and is aimed solely at residents and workers within the Square Mile. It’s easy to sign up to and you will receive a variety of information – from road closures to crime prevention advice.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO YOU?
City of London Police have teamed up with Vocal as part of our commitment to putting our communities at the heart of all we do. We aim to keep you updated on what is happening in the Square Mile, as well as giving you information on the types of crime that are being committed and details of meetings where you can tell us face to face the issues that impact on you.
The scheme is free and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. If you sign up for the scheme, then after the three month trial period we would like you to tell us what you think about the information you received and how useful if was to you.
Registration is quick and simple, you can either visit:
Or contact Vocal directly:
Telephone: 0800 035 0081
Email: colp@vocal.co.uk
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SCHEME WILL NOT START UNTIL FRIDAY 2ND APRIL 2010 AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER BEFORE THAT DATE.
