If any residents have questions or concerns about criminal offences, actions of police or estate staff can address these directly through the Estate Office, Barbican Police Office, at our regular Community Partnership Meetings or to your local officers on patrol.

To answer your questions about fires in the car park:

After being informed about fire damage in the car park area at Cullum Welch side an Estate Officer viewed CCTV images and contacted Barbican Police Officers when he saw a person setting fire to the bin.   During the investigation officers worked with London Fire Brigade but were not able to identify the suspect.

However a month later the same bins were set on fire and thanks to the assistance of a vigilant resident the suspect was arrested at the scene and subsequently convicted of both offences receiving a custodial sentence.

On Monday morning an Estate Officer contacted Barbican Police Office regarding the latest fire on Sunday evening.  CCTV footage was viewed with images of the suspects and the crime is now being investigated by CID.
