Come along for a free, relaxing workshop on Thursday 30th January from 5pm - 6:45pm at Barbican Library. Spaces have been made available for this popular event, but please do book!

Join The Gardening Drawing Club and artist Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck for a soothing evening of conversation and creativity to support you in planning your dream garden. The interpretation of the space for your dream garden is vast, from an allotment, a backyard, a driveway, a balcony, and a few potted plants on a window sill or in a room.

As the year starts, we invite you to gather at Barbican Library for a hot cup of organic herbal blend, meet fellow aspiring and accomplished growers and share ideas and seeds through conversation, drawing and painting.

Our conversations will explore themes visited by The Gardening Drawing Club in their free programme:

  • Are you interested in vegetables, cooking or growing them, and how could these become part of your daily life?
  • What is deep ecology?
  • How can we become more implicated in the continuous growth, protection, and flourishing of the earth we choose to tend to, however small, polluted, and degraded it might currently be?
  • How to garden on a budget?
  • An introduction to soil health.

In the second part of the workshop, we will lay all garden dreams and ambitions on paper using natural plant-based watercolour. The Gardening Drawing Club will bring a seed selection for you to take home. For those who have surplus seeds, please bring these with you.

This workshop is an adult-only session. It is suitable for all levels, and beginners are particularly welcome. No experience or previous attendance at The Gardening Drawing Club is required. All materials will be provided.

Please book tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/gardening-drawing-club-dreaming-your... or contact the library directly.
