GLERA needs more committee members, preferably one from each block and tenants as well as leaseholders. There is a lot going on at present with the early stages of the window programme which will make our homes much warmer but may be very disruptive, redecoration which by my estimate should have happened 15 years ago and many maintenance issues which affect us all.

We are hoping to set up working parties to deal with individual issues and these can be a mix of committee members and other residents.

Lastly Common Council elections are coming up and we would like to get as many sympathetic councillors elected as possible so that we have a strong voice in the City. I am hoping that the GLERA committee can put together a policy paper that prospective candidates can sign up to.
