All the drilling and banging is a nightmare when trying to work from home, and I am about half way up GAH. It must be even worse for people living lower down or in the nearby flats.

Why did they decide to do the works during lockdown? I am sure it is not essential work and could have waited until restrictions are lifted. .

Actual torture. And we’re still supposed to be staying indoors. What about people shielding/sick/Covid-anxious?

You’d think they didn’t care about us...

Whenever I have to nip out I realise how noisy it is down there, it must be hell for anyone stuck at home living lower down.We get all these leaflets through the door from COL regarding residents well being during the pandemic, and yet we have to put up with this.

On top of that, when I came back today there was a row of vans parked right across the front of GAH with not much of a gap between them all. Anyone with a wheelchair or pram, or large delivery would have had trouble getting past them. Why do the estate staff let them park there like that?

Huge sympathy those of us facing the Denizen must be in our 3rd year of noise from demolition of the lovely Bernard Morgan House, the building of the Denizen and next they plan to dig up the pavement surrounding the entire block (pneumatic drills) to lay York Paving. Probably when it's hot weather and we need open windows.
I hope your pain is over soon

Alex, the meeting was two days ago.
