After talking to an elderly resident of GAH who had had to walk down over ten flights and was concerned about getting back up, we both talked about the lack of a chair on landings.
If a chair could be put on each stair case landing, folk having to or wanting to walk up or down could take a much needed breather.
This would help anyone not just the elderly but folk with asthma who can manage a few flights of stairs but not 8 or 14 floors in one go. Plus a seat to rest on is possibly more restorative than standing still to catch your breath.
Anyway the estates improvement fund must be at a level to afford the necessary number of chairs?
