Hi there,

I am looking at applying for LBC to remove the wall of a boiler cupboard in the kitchen to make the space bigger. If you have gone through this experience I would greatly appreciate if you could shed some light to this very complex procedure:

-where can I get block plans & estate plans? (Management office is not much of help)

-Is there a fee involved?

-How long does the process usually take?

-Once LBC is obtained, only then can I apply for Landlord consent?  (and rough time frame?)

Many thanks !

Hi Mei, depending on what you want to do to the cupboard you may not need LBC.  In my case LBC was not required, saving a lot of time and effort.  You should contact one of the planning officers to arrange a visit to that they can advise you.  Telephone 0207 332 1147.

Hi Daniel, I did speak to someone and  was advised that I will need to apply for LBC to remove the wall. Thanks for your reply.

Yup, got hold of a copy of that - thanks !
