Barbican and Golden Lane Neighbourhood Forum - drop in at Community Centre

June 8, 2023 from 5pm to 6:30pm
The Barbican and Golden Lane community has applied to become a designated neighbourhood forum so that it can prepare a neighbourhood plan and participate in local planning matters on a statutory basis. Under the government’s Localism legislation, communities can draw up their own plans that become part of the statutory framework for land use. This will be the City of London’s first neighbourhood forum and neighbourhood plan.The application is supported by local residents, councillors, businesses and community groups such as GLERA and the BA.   • On the 5th of January PC Christine Phillips and PC Mark Murphy were on the Barbican Estate along visiting vulnerable residents. Providing reassurance, support, and security advice.

  • On the 6th of January PC Christine Phillips and PC Mark Murphy Officers are on Fann street providing crime prevention advice and free bike Registering they were at the location during the peak footfall.

 

  • On the 6th of January PC Christine Phillips and PC Mark Murphy along with other dedicated ward officers and PCSO’s were on hi visibility patrol on the Golden Lane and Barbican to prevent any anti-social behaviour.

 

  • On the 20th of January PC Mark Murphy and PC 206 Phillips were on patrol around Golden Lane Estate area and managed to reunite a daughter with her mother who went missing earlier that day.

 

  • On the 20th of January PC Mark Murphy and PC 206 Phillips along with other Officers held their first Cluster panel meeting at the Golden Lane Community Centre between 1800 to 1900 hrs
