As an ex-resident of Golden Lane Estate for many years I would like to say hello from another active resident's association of a Chamberlain, Powell and Bon estate!  We bought a house and moved here 2 years ago to escape ongoing works at Gt Arthur House.  This is our 4th CPB home having also lived in the Barbican as well as Crescent House.
We have a similar mix of council and owners and, although the estate is not listed, it enjoys an active resident's association.  Recently one of our members successfully carried out a greening project on the estate and introduced new planting.
We have many of the same issues (especially with the tower) as Golden Lane and would like to speak to someone from GLERA or invite you to Greenwich to talk about your experiences.
We agreed that we would really like to hear about your work to improve the estate over the years so that we can start to make some real improvements with the full support of all residents and the council.  There are also some maintenance issues that are very similar that our caretakers could learn from GLE.  Basement storage, waste management - all the same issues in our tower as GAH.
I wanted to let you know the date of the next Vanbrugh Park Estate all-residents’s meeting is on Tuesday 10 March, 7:30–9pm at Mycenae House.  It is a fairly quick train ride from Farringdon to Maze Hill or Westcombe Park on the Thameslink.
I look forward to hearing from you, I am happy to come and meet you as well at Golden Lane.
James
