The Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets’ (VCTH), have recently taken on the role of helping those living, working, or studying in the City of London to start volunteering with charities who need help!

We have over 150 different opportunities available, from practical work to admin - great for anyone who would like to gain different experiences, meet new people, or simply do some good in the community. We have a trained Volunteering Advisor who can meet you to discuss the kind of volunteering you would like to do, show you what’s available, and assist with the application process.

The service we provide includes the following, and is completely free of charge:

  • An online database of over 150 volunteer opportunities, catering to all interests (from administration to farming, we’ve got the lot!) – feel free to explore here
  • 1:1 support for people who would like to apply to volunteer – this can be face to face, over the phone, or by email
  • Presentations about our service and the benefit of volunteering to groups of people who are actively interested

If you would like to begin volunteering, arrange a presentation for a group of people who are interested in volunteering, or if you know an organisation based in the City that is looking for volunteers, please do get in touch on 0207 377 0956 or by emailing info@vcth.org.uk
