Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I work part-time in Richard Cloudesley School after decades of full-time work in schools. My last full-time post was as headteacher of Richard Cloudesley School. My interests in life are my extended family in Northern Ireland and any kind of sport or sporting activity. I love playing tennis and for my sins I support Leyton Orient. I have recently got involved with the local Labour Party and would like to spend more time campaigning on local issues.
What's your favourite thing about living on the Estate?
The best thing about the Golden Lane Estate has to be the people - never have I lived in a place in London where people are so friendly, open and downright wonderful.

Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I live with my 2 teenage children and work at the special needs school on Golden Lane. Before that I worked in the City. I was brought up in Holborn and have lived in EC1 all of my life. I spent a lot of my younger years playing/hanging out around GLE as my best friend lived in Basterfield House and I remember the youth club that was on what is now the Barbican wildlife garden.
What's your favourite thing about living on the Estate?
I know a lot of people who live in the area and it is somewhere I feel safe and content. I love having access to all the amenities and I know no different having lived here all my life. All of my family still live local. My children have grown up here and Fortune Park was like a back garden to us when they were young. The sense of community is strong and friendly and people care about where they live.

Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I am a director of HEAT; a local architectural practice which specialises in residential projects. In the 1980s I helped found and run a tenant and resident association in the East End where we successfully campaigned at the time to stop our housing block being demolished for redevelopment.
What's your favourite thing about living on the Estate?
What I love about Golden Lane is the amazing, talented and resourceful people who live here. We are incredibly lucky to live in this peaceful secret corner of London.
I meet people visiting the estate who have come from all over the world because it is still a ground-breaking template for modern social housing. They are surprised when they get here at the neglect and lack of care. I joined GLERA to try and help improve our environment and raise the profile of the estate so that it is more valued.
