Hi Jade
I would check with the Corporation if the communal heating project is going ahead first. For City tenants, the Corporation will replace your boiler if it is old , not energy efficient or unsafe , you would need to contact the Property Services Team and if it is broken then the repairs team.. For leaseholders , probably best to look up other schemes, especially if you are looking for an environmentally friendly one , I would contact Corporation's Property Services team to see if they can contribute etc. For renters - your landlord is responsible for boiler repairs. The boiler replacements in Crescent House are very tricky , due to the design of the flats and the fluke having to be often placed through the window. I hope this is of help.
Kind Regards
Mrs W
Thanks Mrs W. Yes . . it is a tricky one. We have been waiting to see how the situation could be managed - it's at least 15 years old - so it's lasted well!
