Event Description

City Salute to the Battle of Britain - Tuesday 7th September
This is a reminder of the event taking place on 7th September at St Pauls Cathedral.
It is likely that there will be a small amount of traffic congestion caused by short term road closures, between about 1220 and 1240, in the Ludgate Hill/ St Pauls Churchyard area, however, there will be no permanent closures.
Warwick Lane will be changed to a one-way street from 7 AM, with traffic prohibited from turning into it from Ludgate Hill.
A full size Spitfire will be situated outside St Pauls Cathedral, which is already attracting a lot of media interest.
Two other aircraft will be in Guildhall Yard
The Royal Air Force Association are encouraging people living, working and visiting London on the day turn out to show their thanks to the heroes of 1940 by cheering on a march-past leaving St Paul's Cathedral at 1230 hrs.
