Event Description

The City Dip is a charity swim of 5000m, completed as an individual or as a team of up to six people (10 for children) and will be taking place over 26-27 February 2010 at the Golden Lane Leisure Centre.

The purpose of this event is to have fun and to help raise much-needed funds for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal 2010. This year the chosen beneficiaries are the London Symphony Orchestra and the Cricket Foundation’s educational programmes- On track and streetchance.

The two organisations have joined forces under the banner of the appeal to create Pitch Perfect. Through the money raised by the appeal, Pitch Perfect will offer disadvantaged young people the chance to participate in inspiring and engaging cricketing and musical activities and looks to fund them for the next 5 years.

To make the entry process as easy as possible for you, I have attached a pdf of the event application form to print off and fill in.

Remember that you don’t need to be a great swimmer to take part as you have plenty of time to complete the distance (it will usually take between 2-3 hours for a team of 6). Our priority is that everyone involved has a great time and we raise lots of money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal 2010 (for details visit http://pitchperfectlondon.org/events/city-dip/)

If you are not a swimmer or are unable to enter a team please assist us by advertising the event through your colleagues, contacts or place of work.
Many thanks
