Event Description

It is nearly 6 months since the Wardmote in March, so another opportunity to meet your elected representatives has been organised for 7.30pm on 26 September in the Golden Lane Community Hall.

This is your opportunity to ask questions and raise issues for discussion. We will do our best to provide you with answers and take issues away to raise with City Officers. It will be informal and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

Yes, the current franchise and the Localism Act are interesting bedfellows, and worth discussing. I would be interested in turn in anybody's view as to how (if at all) the different electoral franchise affects how the City delivers Local Authority services to local residents. It would be interesting to discuss any examples.

Paul - I plan to stick to the usual "open" agenda - by which I mean that the elected Members are primarily present to listen to what people have to say and to respond. Happy to take on the reputational issues you mention and any other points anybody wishes to give advance notice of, but I don't think the Members have an "agenda" of items we wish to go through with those attending. If this changes, I will let you know.

It would be good to have an agenda for this meeting or at least an outline of areas on which those present would like to speak. It would also be useful to have a statement on the way in which the City is dealing with reputational problems created by the banking and LIBOR crisis.
