Event Description

yesnomaybeprint - Advanced Fine Art Printmaking Course at City Lit

yesnomaybeprint is a fine art printmaking group formed from the City Lit Advanced Fine Art Printmaking Course 2018-19. Coming from a range of backgrounds including illustration, architecture, fine art and marketing communications, the group draws from individual projects to create site-specific collaborative works in a range of printmaking media.

Open:
10am to 8-00pm

Private view: 12 July, 6-00pm to 9-00pm
Printmaking workshops: 20 and 21 July from 2pm

Golden Lane is one of Britain’s most important post war housing developments. Its primary colour scheme and post-war design is an inspiration to the printmakers who respond to both the architecture and landscape of the estate.

In homage to Stanley Green, the ‘protein man’ who spent many years in Oxford Street protesting that ‘less protein means less lust’ the group responds to an honourable tradition of public protest at a location that has now become the site of two major community campaigns.
