Advance warning Lord Mayor's Show
The annual Lord Mayor's Show takes place on Saturday 14th November.
This will cause some disruption to the City community especially in the areas of Smithfield/Barbican, on the route of the show itself and to a lesser extent during the fireworks at Blackfriars.
Your ward police team is currently delivering flyers with route information and timings to persons/premises that may be affected.

Warning of fraudster posing as police officer
City of London Police is warning the public about a man posing as an officer from the force and trying to gain people's personal details over the phone.
Victims have been phoned at home and told someone arrested for drink driving in the City of London had given police their name and address. The caller claimed the police needed confirmation of personal details.
This appears to have been a 'phishing exercise' with the fraudster trying to convince people to hand-over personal information.

Reminder: street works
Gas main replacement work in Gracechurch St, which started on 21 Sept, will last until 6 Nov. Phase 1 of their operation involved a northbound lane closure. During Phase 2, Gracechurch St will be closed northbound from Lombard St, with a diversion via Fenchurch St, Aldgate High St, Dukes Place, Bevis Marks and Camomile St. During Phase 3 Gracechurch St will be reopened, but Cornhill will be closed westbound, with traffic diverted via Gracechurch St and King William St to Bank.
A full list of all current and future highway activities on the City's road network can be found on the City Corporation's web site, which is linked above. Details of works on the Transport for London Road Network (the Red Routes) can be found on TfL's web site:

Cluster and ward meetings
The wards policing team sets its work priorities according to what concerns the community the most. One of the most effective ways of determining the community priorities is to regularly meet with you. It's also a chance for us to report back on what progress we've made in addressing these concerns.
Your attendance at these meetings is highly valued. It's also an opportunity for you to meet other local residents and find out more about what's happening where you live. Good policing is easier to achieve when we work together.
