The City of London Corporation is proposing to build a new free school for primary aged children on the site of Richard Cloudsley.
This link sets out the proposal: http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/education-learning/schools/...
There is an online survey. There are also consultation meetings this Thursday at City of London School for Girls.

The site will include housing due for completion in summer 2017, but I don't know what type of housing.

The consultation is spefically about the decision or otherwise to set up a new school. This would be separate from any consultation on housing.

Hi Paul

Do you know what the timetable is for getting the new school built?  I have been looking at Islington's planning applications website but no sign of any application yet.

I think it will be part of the City of London Academy rather than a free school.

Islington ought to be making an announcement quite soon.

Hawkins Brown Architects have been appointed to design the site but no information has been released on their plans.

I found:

City of London Primary Academy Islington, opening September 2017

on the website at

http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/education-learning/schools/...

and an article from JULY 7, 2015 by Lawrence at

The timetable that I saw for it to open on site in 2017 required the planning application to be submitted at the end of last summer. It is likely that they are planning to use another site for at least the 2017 intake.
