ITEMS FOR SALE OR RECYCLE

I have just answered the door to a Waste Watch representative who wanted to know if I recycled food waste. I explained that I did not do this as I thought that a system which involved putting food in plastic bags ready to be transported to a composting place in Cambridgeshire was pretty daft.

I would like to understand the following:
- the rationale for the Corporation's recycling strategy
- the role of Waste Watch
- who might create a sensible recycling strategy that was appropriate to this estate ie that paid attention to the needs and habits of those who live here; the opportunities for local recycling.
