Sat morning 8am and theres 's 4 guys just beginning their shouty doubles match on the tennis court. They are here most Saturday mornings in full shouty competitive mode for 2 hours. It travels through my flat even with the windows closed.

On a daily basis this tennis court is in steady use by tennis players and coaches from 8am to 8pm. I dont mind the tennis playing at all or the other activities that take place here. Its the early morning shouting matches and the general lack of regard by users for residents who have to listen to their loud behaviour alot.

Over my years living on the estate it seems that it is mostly non-residents who dominate the tennis court anyways, which might explain why users don't really care if they cause a racket.

I recall an incident about 4/5 years ago, in which the tennis players started grunting!  I told them to b----r off and go to Wimbledon!!!

This is horrible, all during the heat wave I am constantly closing the windows when the loud people start shouting and grunting not to mention the netball games etc. An original resident told me that the tennis area was originally a garden for the residents in the good old days when residents of the estate were a priority.

Is this the original layout of Golden Lane Nathan?

Of all things to be going on down there, tennis is less loud than many other possibilities (netball, for instance, with its infernal intermittent whistles). However I actually find that the tennis coaches can be the loudest, shouting instructions from one baseline to the other. This too can happen early on Saturdays and I often wish they were told to keep it down...

And Sundays, the loud booming voice at 8 am, either he or his clients have hearing problems.

"Beauty!" he shouts when a good shot is made. He seems very nice and friendly, I just wish he were a bit quieter.

Whats ASB?
