Hello Neighbours
I'm assuming they are still many of us working from home in Cullum Welch House and Crescent House?
I don’t know how the planned concrete testing next week in the car parks below our flats will cause 'limited' (lols) disturbance. For residents in the lower flats of Crescent House and Cullum Welch it will be unbearable. Concrete drilling, concrete breaking and dust will make living, self isolating and working in our flats extremely difficult. Even everyday noises from the car parks vibrate into our flats so these works are going to be an extreme disturbance. I can't escape and I need to work from my flat in order to use wi-fi and to connect into meetings - my office is not open. There's no way I can do video meetings with concrete drilling below my studio window.
Such heavy construction work should be postponed. The testing is to make sure that the podium above the car park can hold HGVs???? Is this more important than the well-being of the residents staying home during a pandemic? And why now?
I would be interested to hear what my fellow residents think about these works?
This is the letter pasted to the main entrance door to the blocks: attached:

A little update on this - I emailed the following people for advice and support. No one bothered responding back to me:
Golden Estate Office - Michelle Warman
Paul Murtagh
Susan Pearson
Nickie Aiken (well I wasn't going to hold my breathe on this one)
I notice the letter through our door today mentions little impact to residents/tenants . This distinction is creeping in from the Corporation and contractors are following it. We are all residents irrespective of tenure or landlord surely. Unless you are providing specific information relating to that tenure.
and yes little drilling can be unbearable
