I know cats are not allowed on the estate, but lots of us have them, and mine, Malinka (see pic) has been missing for 6 days. I am away on a work trip and she wandered after I left. She never normally wanders and I am really worried. I'm not back for another 10 days but there is a cat-sitter in the flat. If anyone has seen her, there is a reward out, and I any information would be welcome. I've had her for 8 years since I found her as a tiny kitten on the Moscow streets, and took her back to the UK. I totally adore her and will be bereft without her. And I'm just worried about what may have happened to her. If anyone spots her please call me on 07968 003 595 or take her back to 6 Basterfield House. Thank you very very much.best,

Clem

Dear Clem,

Sorry to hear about Malinka - it must be so upsetting for this to happen while you are away. I'm happy to go and have a walk round and a call for her tomorrow night if that would help.

Just to let you know, cats picked up as strays in this area usually go to the Mayhew Animal Home - call 020 8969 0178

On a sadder but hopefully helpful note, council street cleaners usually keep records of any cats found on the road - Cleansing.StreetCleansing@cityoflondon.gov.uk or call 020 7606 3110.

Good luck,

Lucy

Thanks a lot Lucy - will try both those numbers.

that is really useful.

fingers crossed she is ok.

Yes, would be happy to swap cat-sitting if and when Malinka turns up!

best,

Clem

Hello

About 2 weeks ago (I think) I seen your cat outside the back of Basterfield House, then again about a week later from my flat window I seen her beside the circular air vents in the square surrounded by Cullum Welch/Great Arthur House and the Shakespare pub. Malinka was getting alot of attention from a few different passers - by. I would certainly recognise this cat again, so I'll keep a look out for her.

All the best with the search

Linda

Thanks Linda, she's reappeared. She was taken in by someone and then handed to the rspca and we tracked her down. phew!

Best,

Clem

That is brilliant news, I'm so pleased for you!

Thanks a lot Rick, she reappeared! she was taken in my someone who then gave her to the rspca.

all is well.

best,

Clem

MALINKA THE CAT HAS BEEN FOUND!!! Thanks for everyone for their feedback and support.
I am so, so thrilled to hear this news.  Absolutely wonderful!  Welcome home Malinka!  You naughty puss!  Getting everyone worried like that!  Kisses, and hugs to her!  And, a lick from Rosy!  XXXXX

Glad you got your cat back. If people can have dogs on this estate I see no reason why you cannot have a cat. I am sure it makes less mess than the dog.
