Golden Lane Festive Market

Hello.  In previous years our Estate has held an annual Christmas market.  But, this year we are not having a Christmas market, but a 'festive' one.  May I ask what that means?  Surely, this time of year we , look forward to celebrating Christmas, as is the tradition of this country.  Why has the advertising been changed?  Am confused. See More

"Richard, maybe it might be even better for parents to remind their children that cycling is not permitted on the estate.  On a few occasions I have had near misses with kids riding their bikes very fast!  "

Office Closures in Weekly Bulletin

We now have a weekly bulletin for all estate residents.  I am particularly concerned to hear that the estate office is to introduce early closure on Wednesday afternoons, from next week.. It is claimed its to allow for staff meetings, training etc.  I have lived here for 30 years, and originally, the estate office was open for residents all the working week.  It was never closed then for lunchtime.  Nor did it have an early closing on one day of the week.  We had 2 resident estate officers. …See More

Maria Elizabeth Prior replied to Marcia Rocha's discussion Bathroom mirrored wall cupboard
"Okay.  I see it now.  As I earlier said, that is not original.  The cupboard was added by a resident later on.  Maybe, you can just purchase a cupboard that looks similar as no original ones exist. "

We're still new to the estate, so welcome any guidance on how we can participate in residents' action to make things better.

One of the things we most admired about Golden Lane before moving here was the wonderful gardens that the residents had created in the common parts.  We'll do anything we can to support you in your battle to get to get the LFB report and your solicitor's letter acknowledged and the gardens reinstated..  Please let us know how we can help...

Hi Maria,  Sorry my message today was a bit late to make a proper arrangement.  Sue is about this afternoon, or if you'd like to get in touch with her to arrange a convenient time her number is 0780 325 9657.  Hope to see you on our next Sunday Social on 12 May from about 11 until 2pm.  Anna

Are you free at 2pm?  Sorry it's short notice, was trying to coordinate with Sue.  We could meet you at the allotments if you're free.  Thanks Anna

Hi Maria.  I will need to coordinate with Sue who is allocating the bags.  We have also introduced a membership subscription of £20 per year to cover new soil, equipment, insurance etc.  Are you free at all over the weekend? Maybe we could meet on the allotments and we can introduce you to your bag! Saturday would probably be better for me, but I'll check with Sue. Anna

We now have a growing bag available on the allotments and wondered if you still wanted to take one?  Please could you get in touch with me or Sue Pearson via this website?  If we don't hear from you by Wednesday 8 May (our next meeting) we'll assume you are no longer interested.  Many thanks  Anna Parkinson
