"Hello Brigid.  I know exactly how you feel.  I live in Crescent House, and in November 2017, the City forcibly removed my garden, even though it was established later that it was not a fire risk. As a result of their action I spent 2 weeks…"

Plants....

We were appalled that the wonderful Crescent House walkway gardens have been destroyed.  Below - a photo taken recently in Stanley Cohen.  It shows a row of little plants, not placed on the walkway itself but on the recessed concrete strip into which the railings are set.  With these few plants we were trying to soften the prison-like appearance of the decaying stairs and common parts which are shared with Bayer House, without them getting in anyone's way.…See More

"We've just moved in and have dismantled the previous occupant's shelving.  So a large quantity of MDF is available - good condition - assorted sizes e.g. 40 x 186 cm, 40 x 92 cm, 20 cm wide...  Take your pick!"

Hello Brigid.  Thanks for the message of support.  Much appreciated.  I have spoken to my solicitor, and the Corporation have at last agreed to mediate with me over the garden issue.  My solicitor backed them into a corner, as there is a court hearing next month and she told them she would tell the Court about their lack of responding.  I also have a barrister, who is a QC, 2 fire reports which show the garden was never a fire hazard, and am obtaining a full medical report from my doctor, showing just how much stress I suffered over it.  I intend to get the garden back, which will also help others, who have had their plants removed.  The fight goes on!
