Today the Planning and Transportation Committee voted to allow the demolition of BMH and redevelopment by Taylor Wimpey.
The CEO of Keepmoat is a committee member who spoke for the redevelopment. He knew one of the Taylor Wimpey consultants.

It seems all the Corporatiins planning guidelines are flexible.

A massive carbuncle will now be built and overshadow Bowater House, the Park and School.
Residents really don't matter

Comes as no surprise I'm afraid.

Over the past few years developers and councils have been able to do what they like (despite safeguards) and will, I'm afraid continue to do so.

Planning laws and residents views appear to count for nothing.

I cannot comment on who was to blame for this, but I so wish that people had stood up for us in Crescent House a few years ago when we were forced to watch at least 2 blocks being built in front of us, and one particularly causing concern for residents by their sometimes anti social behaviour, with excessive noise, shouting etc, which we continue to have to endure.  However, considering the terrible news from Manchester, which has ruined so many people's lives, I think now is the time to reflect on this tragedy instead.
