I have been asked to advise residents here that there has finally been an agreement to put up signs at the above area, making it clear that it is for the use of residents, and not the general public.
Suggestions will be put to the Committee for any appropriate wording.  Also, if anyone has any ideas as to what would be suitable, I would like to hear them.

Mr Jacks has advised that the wording needs to be kept as short as possible.  The original suggestion from the Office was to say, "Private Property.  Keep of the Grass".  However, I felt this would not cover the adjoining concrete area, which the public also use excessively.

Many thanks!

Hi Julie.  I so agree with you about us residents using our spaces.  And, as you say, not at this time of year!  Far too cold!  Unfortunately, and I can only speak for the Hatfield House lawn, this is the one time of year when we can feel freely able to use the lawn!  I like meeting people passing through, who enjoy seeing the Estate, and, you are right that we should be happy to pay our service charges for a pleasant environment, that we live in.

I have only felt sad, as have many residents, that there is always some non residents who have misused this.  There are incidents of some residents having very uncomfortable, and unpleasant experiences with some non residents using the areas.  I have also experienced this.  These are the people that spoil it.
