There will be two weekend openings of the Roof Garden this year.
The roof garden at Golden Lane Estate has been closed to both residents and the public since the 1980s. This is a rare chance to see the work of architects Chamberlin, Powell and Bon from a new perspective.
To find out more about the history of Golden Lane Estate, look at the listings from last year's London Open House.
The first event will take place on Saturday and Sunday 20th and 21st July as part of the Mayor of London's London National Park City Festival; and the second will be on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September as part of London Open House.
Access on both Saturdays will be for residents only.
Please note that for the residents only visit on Saturday, all children and young people must be accompanied by an adult and the minimum age for access to the roof is over the age of 12.
For the public visit on Sunday, the minimum age is 16.
We are currently recruiting volunteer stewards to register visitors and offer support on the July weekend.
If you would like to volunteer to help with this special occasion, please follow this link.
You can also sign up in the Estate Office.
Booking for September will open nearer the time.
With thanks to ISG (COLPAI) and McAleer and Rushe (Denizen) for sponsoring the costs of soil an planting on the roof garden.
