Hi there James,

Just wondering if there are any deals for residents - either membership wise or per visit (to the gym, classes and swimming pool)?

Opening times would be great too - thanks!

Lucy

Hi Lucy,

You do get as significant discount on our memberships, with a £17 per month saving. Would you like to come and have a look around the centre?

We are open 6-10 weekdays and 8-6 weekends

Thanks,

James

Can you just turn up to the classes, or do you need to book in advance?  And what are the charges for classes (for non members, but estate residents), specifically for Pilates.

Thanks.

Classes are charged at £4.40 per class for resident non-members. You should book for these, they are starting to fill up now. You get 5 days in advance to book.

The £15 membership covers use of the Gym, Pool and Classes between 9-12 & 2-5 Weekdays plus all weekends. We have a range of Cardio machines, resistance machines and free weights, all provided by Life Fitness

Membership is on a 30 day rolling contract, no long term tie ins

Thanksv

I have been to the gym now 2/3 times a week and it`s a great LC. The staff are very helpful as well.   Highly recommended........especially with the low rate GL residents get!  Not a "rip-off" like another certain club along Aldersgate Street!!!

Having looked at the class timetable, Outside of the weekend morning classes there seems to very few classes for adults, at the times applicable to £15 p/mth GL Residents membership price ie: weekdays 9-12 & 2-5pm.

I could only find  2 gentle exercise classes and a short mat bowling group listed. The other classes look like they are for school children: junior dance, Junior Gym, Mini Tennis....and 1 Young at Heart class which is for over 50s???

Is there another membership deal for residents that actually includes access to the lunchtime and after 5pm adult classes on wkdays?

The Offer to Residents leaflet.pdf also lists

•Badminton

Tennis

• Netball

Are these included in the £15p/mth membership? What are the prices for use of the courts if not?

Thanks.

Hi James.  Is there any way we can be allowed to use your Fusion Wi-Fi that is available in the gym, as it is encrypted with a passcode at present???

I still only pay £15-00 per month.

I only use the gym myself and am very pleased with the facilities and the pricing!

I'm not a 'yuppie' (do they even exist any more??), but am an estate resident and I've only used the pool, but I think it's great. They manage a small pool well and even when it's busy the lanes don't seem too clogged up. As a faster swimmer, I appreciate them making the fast lane wider to allow for easy overtaking. And the women's changing rooms are great - always clean and I think, again, they've made the most of a small space. I'd love it if they offered some sort of swimming-only membership rates, but other than that (and slow breaststrokers placing themselves in the fast lane - grrr) I have no complaints...
