Hello all,

Wondering if anyone can help. I live in Stanley Cohen House, in a flat facing Golden Lane. A few times over the past couple of months someone has used a red laser to follow me through my windows or on my balcony in the evenings. I think they are trying to shine the laser in my eyes. I think it's coming from the Peabody flats opposite which are in Islington.

Has anyone else experienced this? I ignored it at first but I had eye surgery on Friday so my eyes are feeling a bit sensitive and I'm worried that if it keeps happening it could cause damage.

Does anyone know how I might deal with this?

Many thanks,

Georgina

I also live in SC and had a green laser pointed in my front room about a year ago from the Peabody estate. Never happened again so I didn't think anything of it. If in doubt give the police a call and see what they say. There are some strange people about these days.

Hi Georgina,

Hope the eye surgery went well.

It may be worthwhile to contact the Peabody Estate Manger Ms Zena Bolt, Neighbourhood Manger, for Peabody Fortune Street, Direct Tel: 020 3828 3538, Email: zena.bolt@peabody.org.uk I know she will do her best to notify her residents that face your block.

The following may be of help: http://www.laserpointersafety.com/harassment.html

I have had laser surgery to my eyes, laser should not be directed directly into certain parts of the eye, and if the beam is intense they can and do cause damage.

They could just have been pointing at random, but if it targeted, log the days, times, and report to the police.

Good luck.

Thank you both very much, I really appreciate your help. I've contacted Zena so hopefully she'll be able to help out.

Many thanks,

Georgina
