Very interesting film.  Although showing its age somewhat (Reyner Banham would never get away with some of the snobbish and sexist comments littered throughout, despite it being an authored piece) it is interesting to ponder what was thought of as acceptable/unacceptable back in 1960s and the development of greater London.

Naturally its 'showing its age', as it was filmed about 50 years ago!  As for sexist comments, did not notice any.  Its a historical film, and glad I saw it.

Yes, Maria, I did realise it's an old film, it states so quite clearly on the BBC website.  Cultural relic style of thing.  Perhaps I'm just more attuned to hearing casual snobbery and sexism.

We're all different.

That's the thing Jean. Its an old film.  Historically very interesting.  And, you are right.  We are all different.  It would be boring if we were all the same, and did not have different opinions.  I just cannot be bothered, or upset, over something that was recorded many years ago!  I just enjoyed seeing the Golden Lane Estate back then.
