Discount deals available at the Leisure Centre - offer open until Monday night!

In case fellow residents are unaware.

Continuing the "this isn't really a private estate at all" motif, I note Time Out is advertising 90% off gym passes "10 gym passes for £20 at Golden Lane Sport & Fitness, Barbican"

Link here: Time Out Offer

I'm not a gym go-er myself but other might find the discount useful.

Who says this isn't really a private estate at all?  It is legally.

I know it is Maria.  I was being a bit sarcastic, given how much non-residents are encouraged to use it! ;-P

Jean, you are spot on.  I should have realised your sarcasm.  My apologies.  The leisure centre is not the only place that non residents are encouraged to use.  At least there, they have to pay for it.  Unlike, their use of the Estate garden areas, for example, Hatfield House lawn.  Many of us residents are fed up, and angry, over the abuse of this area by non residents, which is allowed to happen.  During the lunch hours, especially, on a nice day, a resident would have little chance in being able to use the area they pay for, as it is clogged up with people who have no right to use it, even though it clearly says it is for 'residents use only'.  Not only that, but a lot of litter is left behind, and cigarette butts all over the place, that we, the residents have to pay to have cleared up.  Its a disgrace,  I have also suffered verbal abuse from some non residents, for doing my normal walk with my little dog, Lulu.  One non resident even threw rubbish at her, and also she has been picked up and thrown by a non resident, who deemed it their right to have full access to the lawn they do not pay for in any way.  When are our rights, to our Estate, which is private, going to be listened to by the City of London?

Yes they do Jean.  Virgin Active at Beech Street is £90-00 per month, I pay £15-00 to use our gym!!!
