Why have all the windows of the Estate Office been covered with tacky Mirror Film ? What have you got to hide ? Its not a good look

I agree with you.  I noticed it the other day.  You cannot look into the Estate Office, but they can look at us on the outside.  I have no idea who took the decision to do this, or why.  However, we do have the right to know, especially if residents' money was used!

Maybe its a temporary measure till the estate staff get issued with Tazers whoa and behold some ferile OAP dare approach the Office at 1 pm requesting to have a sink unblocked ?

Maybe it's so they can see who's coming, but at present they would have to run  fast to get the door locked, maybe they could have a locked door policy, and install  electronic locks and an intercom system so they could vet access or ignore unwanted visitors.

What about sandbags razor wire and security fences?

The thing is Christine, is that its still going to be 'distracting', because the Estate Office can still see everything going on outside, wheras anyone on the outside cannot see into the Office.  Maybe it might be helpful if the Estate Office could actually give us a reason why, in the first place.

Also, as it somehow has altered the appearance of the block, was listed building consent required?  I think it only polite if we, as residents, are fully informed, and our questions answered.

I think they have left the lower pane of glass on the office door un mirrored, if you don't get an answer at the door you can get on your hand and knees and if you crane your neck you might catch a glimpse over the reception desk.

:-)
