In its role as the police authority for the Square Mile, the City of London Corporation

is responsible for ensuring that the City of London Police deliver a fair, efficient and

effective police service. We are seeking to appoint an independent person to serve as a member

of the Police Committee of the City of London Corporation to help it fulfil this role.

How come we only get to find out about this a week before the closing date?
Just checked - they posted it on a website for gays working in top jobs in the City over 4 weeks ago! Nothing against gay guys ( have even had a few myself ) but should rich gay bankers, barristers and businessmen really get first chance at this over City residents???
Aren't there enough City executives on ALL the Committees anyway???
And I wonder when our "fellow City residents" on the Barbican found out about this???
Shows exactly what the City thinks of it's own tenants!

Hi Alan

GLERA are to ask for the closing date for applications to be extended.
