Is anyone else having weak signal problems? It's impossible to watch live TV but strangely catch-up and Netflix are fine.

Yes, Crescent House, where I am, is down, and am told so is Bowater House.  It seems the whole Estate is affected.  Have contacted MDTV, but only able to leave a message.  Not happy!

No signal at all in Cullum Welch on any of the channels!

Can anyone tell me if one can get 'catch up' or 'iplayer' on a freeview TV?  I have a 'talktalk' box on one of my TVs, where I can watch catch up, but don't know if you need special boxes for it these days.

Do you have a special box for that?

Maria we are ok with catch-up iPlayer it seems to affect just live tv

Rick, am a complete computer idiot.  Am lucky just to manage the basics without all the fancy stuff! Ha!!

Not sure how the talktalk boxes work. If it is connected to your internet and has the iplayer built in, then you should be able to connect. If not, then they are all available on a pc, laptop or tablet.

Signal disappeared about 5.10PM.

I can do so on my TV in the kitchen, but I don't have any box for the other TVs.  Do I have to get a box, also connected via the internet, for those TVs too?

If you look through the menu on your TalkTalk box and see the iplayer, then you should be able to connect if you have the internet. If you haven't accessed it on there before then you will need to enter your wifi password. If it is not on there and you have a laptop and the internet, then just search for the iplayer and you should be able to watch straight away.

Got a bit of an update.  An MDTV engineer called me.  He is trying to get onto Great Arthur House roof, to try and fix the problem.  He needs access, so all I could do was tell him Ian, our resident Estate officer lives in Bowater House, and try and locate him.  Otherwise it means the whole estate will have no TV connection until Monday, when the Estate Office opens. There should be a better system than this, especially as its the weekend.

Does anyone have the TV company number?

Stanley Cohen out as well. Thank god I have the internet. Filmontv or catchup tv online has most channels

Thanks Rick.  My partner is happy right now watching a DVD, with his dinner in bed, so will leave him to it, whilst I do all the washing up in the kitchen, with my TV!!

I guess you would need separate TV boxes but without seeing your set up, I can't say for sure. Can you not move your kitchen TV into the lounge for now? I guess it is smaller than your other TV but at least it should give you something to watch for now.
