Anyone signed up to Community Fibre (Broadband)?
Tags:
I've pre registered with Vision so will see what happens
I have contacted Vision Fibre and they replied that the infrastructure isn't in place yet and that they don't have a date when it will be up and running. So it may be some time before we get either of these two
Does anyone use Talktalk? and if so what speed do you pay for and what actual speed do you get?
Think of getting Talktalk faster fibre + telephone.
thx
Hi all,
I'm looking for a new internet provider (stepping away from Relish - now they have been taken over by Three the speed has dropped. I see that Community Fibre now allows you to order on their website (on a Hatfield House address I can get 200Mbps for 35/mo), and wondered if anyone by now has taken a contract with Community Fibre and some experience with actual speeds.
Cheers, Bas
Hi, Merry. What are the actual speeds you're getting?
Thanks,
Chris
That's good. Do you mind if I ask how much you pay per month, and does that include a land line?
One box is a modem and the other does the WiFi. I was getting 400Mbs on WiFi in the same room as the boxes, and was super happy, but it’s all gone to hell in a handcart over the last ten days. The connection stopped and I got an email saying it was rodent damage. The engineer who finally came out today thought I was mad when I said that. He said it was a power surge that blew the modems and he replaced it. It worked for five minutes after he left and then dropped again. They send a lot of text updates, but they don’t acknowledge the ones I send them. Can’t get them on the phone; not sure what is going on.
Not sure if it has anything to do with it but Community Fibre have recently been digging up roads locally. They are currently digging up Fortune Street. Maybe it is having a knock on effect.
They have Community Fibre signs up and were recently working in Lamb Street just behind Waitrose.
I was wrong, it's not Community Fibre they are installing in Fortune St, it's something called G Network
